  • Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often have one of these. You normally lay a wager (a dollar is the normal amt.) to attempt to win a side jackpot that could reach $25,000. Although big jackpots like these are particularly alluring, they’re also particularly hard to succeed. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this bet. Also, imagine this- you play 20 hands and place the side wager every time. That is $20 you should have used towards the actual game bet instead of a sucker bet. Just think about what you could have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds employing that $20.
  • Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only 1. This takes the complete casino advantage from 2.63% with one zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The one number bet has only a 1 in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red wagers alternately which have a much smaller casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you play it, the casino advantage can be a huge 25%. No, that is not a error. Due to the huge set of numbers you have to select, it is not recommended to wager on Keno to often. A few times for entertainment, maybe. But don’t waste all your money on it or you’ll quickly find yourself bankrupt.
